Many people with disabilities are social excluded due to poverty, discrimination, lack of information & support system, physical, attitudinal and technological barriers. There are lots of Govt. Schemes and programmes by State and Central Government for social security, economic empowerment, financial inclusion, mobility enhancement and building disabled people organization like Self help Group for people with disabilities. We at Vikash works together to include PwDs in different Govt. schemes as per their eligibility, disseminate information for empowering them and promotion of their social inclusion.

Vikash creates an environment to facilitate emergence of leadership from among the persons with disability.
Community meetings :-
Regular community meetings are held to sensitize the larger community to its CBR program. The issues of disability are identified and discussed.
Empowering disabled leaders :
We facilitated formation of Disabled people’s associations at State, District and Block levels to give a unified voice for their empowerment.
Disability Day celebration :-
To make the community aware about the issues of disability, Vikash celebrates Disability Day every year involving all stakeholders.
