Vikash works to prevent child labor by raising awareness, providing education, and supporting families to ensure children can learn and thrive in safe environments.
Vikash was assigned the work of launching the Child Labour prevention Center at Gop Block of Puri district in the aftermath of Super Cyclone in Oct 1999. This scheme envisaged that all vulnerable children not going to school are potential child labourers (considering the aftermath of cyclone).
It had managed child labor centres to integrate children into main stream in 4 districts of Odisha.
Vikash has come a long way as a Non-Governmental Organization in Odisha, working towards Sustainable Development and Protection of People’s Rights through community involvement, keeping in view the Sustainable Development Goals(SDG) since 1986.
