Vikash supports biomedical waste management initiatives by promoting safe, efficient disposal and treatment of medical waste to protect public health and the environment.
Vikash has planned and developed a model for Bio-medical waste management in the 50 bedded NALCO hospital, Damanjodi in Koraput district. We have also provided training to the staff of industrial houses on bio-medical waste management as a consultant to World Bank/ Govt. of Odisha. Our focus is on innovation in this sector.
Vikash has come a long way as a Non-Governmental Organization in Odisha, working towards Sustainable Development and Protection of People’s Rights through community involvement, keeping in view the Sustainable Development Goals(SDG) since 1986.
