Disability affects a wide range of socio-economic outcomes, including education, information and transport. Vikash model of Community Based Rehabilitation include all the possible ways to assist people with disabilities to live life little more independently, to live with their families and in their communities. The assistance includes mobility aids, assistive devices, inclusion in regular schools and other training institutions, self employment, income generation activities and so on.
Vikash undertook vocational training and Entrepreneur Development Program for the disabled to enhance their income. For persons with disabilities and many others too, it is not enough to be merely independent, but it is also necessary to have a group that supports and provides an empathetic relationship. Keeping this in view, Vikash has organized Self Help Groups for persons with disabilities and arranged credit through credit unions and financial institutions.
