| On the occasion of the World Disabled Day, 3rd December, Bhinnakshyam Mahasangha , a federation of disabled people’s association at Block level made a peace march on the streets of Bhubaneswar. A team led by its founder President Ashok Nanda also presented a memorandum to the Governor of Orissa. The rally was coordinated by Bikram Swain, Amin Patsahani, Prasanta Rout , Jagajiban Pattanaik, Gangadhar Sahoo, Narayan Behera, Promod Mohapatra, Nirmala Nayak and Sanjukta Swain.
Vikash, in collaboration with Mukti Kiran, has organized a free scanning and health check up camp on November 24, 2009 between 10 am to 12 pm. Eminent doctors of the city from various fields of medicine will be present in the camp to examine the patients. Inauguration of Mukti kiran is organized at 11.30AM on 24.11.2009 (Tuesday).Shri Ajit Ku. Tripathy, IAS (Retd.), State Election Commissioner, will grace the occasion. Other guests include Ven. A Seminar on Energy Efficiency of Buildings of Bhubaneswar was organised at the Regional Engineering College, Bhubaneswar. Kevin Jaouen, an engineering student from ESME-Sudria, Ivry, France University who was the key researcher presented his findings. Mr Ashok Nanda introduced the students to the concept of environment, living and buildings. Dr Prabhas Sutar gave a talk on the technical aspects of energy efficient planning. |

A workshop was organised at the Biju Pattnaik Renewable Energy Park, Bhubaneswar. The workshop was conducted with a view to generate awareness on the potentialities of alternative sources of energy like Wind, Solar and Biomass in Orissa. Mr. Nicolas Martin Diederichs, an engineer from German and other members of the forum presented their findings in the workshop. |
